Census records from 1820 through 1930 can be found on microfilm within the local history department while population numbers for each town and township from 1820 - 2000 can be viewed online. Furthermore, DePauw University has available an online database containing all of the individual names that appear in the census data for Putnam County from 1830 - 1930.
